Chain Lift Design

• The FISHER® chain lift design offers a wide range of performance and reliability advantages over a direct lift system.
• CLEAN SCRAPING: The chain lift design allows the blade to continuously “float” while plowing, enabling it to freely follow the contours of the plowing surface for a cleaner scrape.
• HIGHER STACKING: With a chain lift you can stack snow higher because the plow's movement is not restricted by the length of the ram stroke like on cylinder lift systems.
• RELIABILITY: With the simple mechanical chain lift design, there are fewer hydraulic and electrical components to worry about, so you can count on long life dependabililty.
• EASY RECOVERY: In the rare event of a hydraulic failure, you can push the snow plow up into a snowbank and “short chain” it to the specially designed bracket for safe transport back to the shop.

Unique Features

• PLOW BLADE CONSTRUCTION: The 29" tall, 12-gauge powder-coated steel moldboard features independent wing control. Retract or expand the wings of the XLS™ snow plow from 8' to 10' wide, or angle the wings forward for an 8' 10" scoop position. A standard steel cutting edge for the blade and poly cutting edges for the wings increase wear resistance. The blade features a 70-degree attack angle for enhanced scraping and back dragging.
• STRUCTURAL REINFORCEMENT: The XLS™ snowplow features a torque tube and 10 vertical ribs for substantial structural support. Hydraulic wing extensions slide laterally across the structurally reinforced slide box. The tough construction of this channel provides excellent torsional blade strength and prevents buckling under heavy loads.
• PLOW WINGS FOR EFFICIENCY: At the touch of a button, the XLS™ expandable snow plow expands from an 8’ retracted blade to a 10’ expanded blade, to a scoop plow, to an ultra-efficient windrow machine.
• RELIABLE HYDRAULICS: We produce our own hydraulic system to ensure the highest standards of performance, quality and reliability, giving you a plow that is fast, responsive and built to last. All critical hydraulic components are fully enclosed for protection from the elements.
• TRIP PROTECTION: Our industry-leading trip-edge design protects you and your equipment when encountering hidden obstacles. For improved efficiency and less cleanup, only the bottom edge trips, keeping the blade upright and plowed snow in front of the blade. The FISHER® trip edge uses compression-type springs that never require adjustment and will not wear out like extension springs. The XLS™ wings feature polyurethane cutting edges designed specifically to provide added trip protection.

Universal Features

• MINUTE MOUNT® 2 SNOWPLOW MOUNTING SYSTEM: The reliable, mechanical attachment design of the Minute Mount® 2 snowplow mounting system allows for easy hook-up with no tools required and no electrical switches to fail and leave you struggling out in the cold. The vehicle mounts and lower gear are flared both vertically and horizontally to ensure proper alignment and make the drive-in connection easier. Simply raise the pin release handle and push on the headgear to pop the pins into place. Then, raise the jack, snap it into place and plug in the electrical connectors.
• FLEET FLEX ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: The FLEET FLEX system provides easy operation, increased reliability, simple wiring and easy installation. Addtional features include programmable "soft-stop," "one-touch" float, and built-in SECURITY GUARD™ Anti-Theft System.
• SECURITY GUARD™ ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM: The exclusive SECURITY GUARD™ Anti-Theft System is a safe and secure way to electronically lock your snow plow whenever it is detached from your truck. Unlike physical locks that can easily be cut or removed, the system provides a deterrent against theft by allowing you to electronically lock the snow plow's hydraulic functions, rendering your plow inoperable to unauthorized users.
• INTENSIFIRE™ HALOGEN HEADLAMPS: State-of-the-art reflector optics provide a smooth, wide beam pattern that illuminates the entire plowing surface, with minimal glare above the lamp, especially during snowfall. INTENSIFIRE™ halogen headlamps feature combination park and turn signal lights that conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Your vehicle light switch activates the plow lights so a separate in-cab switch is not needed. The headlamps are held firmly in place with a two-stud mounting bracket, to maintain proper alignment even under harsh shock and vibration forces. Reflector optics provide a smooth, wide beam pattern with minimal glare, giving the operator a clear view of the entire plowing area in front. An adhesive bond helps seal out water between the lens, reflector and housing to prevent damage. The INTENSIFIRE'S H13 long-life halogen bulbs have an average life of 1,500 hours, and are easy to replace through a simple three-screw bulb access cover.
• STORM GUARD™ BAKED-ON POWDER COAT: The industry’s best protection against wear and rust, the STORM GUARD™ baked-on powder coat with epoxy primer is standard on all FISHER® snow plows. Each FISHER plow goes through an automated eight-wheel shot blaster pre-treatment process to remove mill scale and profile steel surfaces for the best adhesion, followed by a multi-stage pre-wash which provides superior surface preparation. Then a durable epoxy primer is applied to improve corrosion resistance and enhance powder coat adhesion. The power coat is then applied with robotic guns in a climate-controlled powder-coat booth that ensure precise, uniform powder coat coverage. The final baking process seals the long-lasting high gloss FISHER yellow coat, to provide superior protection for your snow plow, season after season.
• ISOLATION MODULE: An underhood module transfers lights from vehicle to plow automatically and improves system reliability by using plug 'n play, sealed electrical connections that comply with OEM requirements. Isolating the plow's electrical system from the vehicle's prevents the potential of electrical system damage in the event of a shorted circuit.
